How do I book tickets?
It's easiest to book online - Just head here and search From and To and we'll get you sorted. We accept major credit cards except Diners, because the '80s called and they want their cards back. There are a few things to know before you book, though... riding with us is an all in kind of deal - once you’ve paid, you can’t change any part of your booking, including stops, the date or the time. And there are no refunds, so if you cancel or don’t show up, we can’t give your money back. We also have non-refundable booking fees of $1.99 for online bookings and $5.00 for bookings made through our contact centre.

If your baby is under three years old, they can ride for free if you hold them on your lap. If you want them to travel in a car seat or capsule, you’ll need to book a seat.
What are the rules for babies and kids?
We say infants are 0-3 years of age and children are aged 4-15. Infants need to travel with a parent or guardian aged 16 or over. Each adult can only ride with one infant. Unaccompanied minors can't ride with Skip - we call minors anyone aged under 16, and unaccompanied means there's no adult aged 16 or over riding with them.
Can kids ride alone with Skip?
Unaccompanied minors can't ride with Skip - we call minors anyone aged under 16, and unaccompanied means there's no adult aged 16 or over riding with them.
Can I get a refund?

Can I sell my ticket if I can't ride?
If you can’t ride for some reason, you can sell your ticket to someone else, but not for more than you paid for it.
Can people with disabilities ride with Skip?
Absolutely! We just need you to be able to get on and off the bus either by yourself or with the help of a trusted mate at pick up and drop off points. (our drivers aren’t able to assist for health and safety reasons). If you’ve got a wheelchair, it's allowed as an extra piece of checked luggage if it folds down to meet our maximum dimensions of 158cm. If you’re blind or visually impaired, please call our contact centre on 09 394 9180 before your ride so we can let the driver know. You can also bring an assistance dog provided it wears an ID tag and is properly restrained, and you have proof from a recognised organisation that it’s a certified disability assist dog.
Do you sell coach tours?
We love scenery as much as the next guy, but tours aren’t our bag. We’re all about getting from A to B fast!
Do you stop at airports?
Auckland Domestic and International Airport are stops on our Whangarei to Hamilton service, but we don't stop at other airports.
Can I reserve a seat?
We don’t set seats aside, but once you arrive you can always head for the back or a spot by the window!
What if I left something on the bus?
D’oh, we hate losing stuff! If you’re missing something, email firstname.lastname@example.org and we’ll start investigating (it’ll take a few days though). If you’ve lost a passport, tell your embassy first! If you’ve lost checked-in luggage, it takes up to four days, and up to 10 for carry-on. Because of the number of lost property enquiries we receive, we’ll only get back to you if we actually find what you’re missing.
What luggage can I bring on board and what's not allowed?
Handbags, umbrellas and walking sticks are all good!
For carry-on luggage, all these things are no goes:
• Chilly bins, boxes and bags with food and frozens inside
• Liquids and creams not in watertight containers
• Flammable liquids
• Poisons or hazardous substances
• Fuel and solvents
• Guns and other weapons (unless in a locked box)
• Illegal drugs
• Animals (except assistance dogs)
• Anything else we reckon’s unsafe.

Bags and luggage
How much luggage can I bring?
You can bring one piece of checked luggage weighing up to 20kg and with dimensions of 158cm (that’s length + width + height, in case you had to think back to school days) And you can bring one piece of carry-on luggage with dimensions of up to 20cm high x 28cm deep, with a max length of 400mm and weight of up to 5kg. Don’t go crazy though, because we can’t carry huge or weirdly shaped stuff. If you’ve got more luggage than what’s in the rules, or oversize stuff, we can’t guarantee we’ll have space to bring it. Put a label on it – include your name, address, contact details and where you’re riding to. Make sure you get your luggage from the driver when you arrive, or when you’re connecting to your next ride.
Can I bring my bike?
Sure, if you can collapse it down (take the wheels and pedals off and turn the handlebars sideways and cover the chain). But it will be counted as your checked luggage item.
What can't I put in my checked luggage?
The things below can’t go in our luggage lockers. If you stow these things, it’s at your own risk and we’re not responsible for any costs for inconvenience, replacement, delay, loss or damage you or anyone else might suffer.
· Passports and travel documents
· Cameras, video cameras etc
· Computers or computer equipment
· Electrical or electronic devices
· Business documents or important documents
· Fragile, delicate or perishable things
· Valuable things like money or jewellery
· Chilly bins, boxes and bags with food and frozens inside.
